HISTORY
He formed one of the most memorable forward lines at El Molinón alongside Enrique Castro 'Quini', in a team that came close to winning La Liga in the 1978/1979 season. With 53 goals, he is Sporting's third top scorer in the top flight, after Quini himself and Joaquín Alonso.
In 1975 he joined the Gijón club, where he played for a decade until his retirement. He lived through the golden era in the history of Real Sporting, and was chosen by the fans in the ideal red-and-white eleven in 2005.
